Reflashing the micro sdcard
Common Symptoms of a Corrupted SD Card
- Monitor shows "No Signal" after plugging in the unit
- Jumbled error codes or boot messages on screen
- Boot loop: EmuElec splash screen appears then goes black
Good news: 9 out of 10 times, reflashing the microSD card fixes the issue!
⚠️ Important Note: Reflashing will restore the stock image (possibly with newer games added). You will lose saved states, high scores, and any custom modifications.

Common Reflashing Steps (For Both Systems)
-
1
Insert SD card into your PC
Use a USB SD card reader/adapter. The card should appear as a drive in Windows Explorer or Finder. -
2
Flash the image
Windows /
Mac /
Linux Use balenaEtcher
• Select the image → Select SD card → Click Flash!

-
3
Safely eject the card
Always use "Eject" before removing it. -
4
Reinstall the SD card
Slide it back in the same orientation until it clicks. On the Raspberry Pi it just slides in. On Amlogic TV Boxes, it will click in/out like a ball-point pen -
5
Test the arcade
Plug the unit in while still on its back and verify it boots to the menu. (It is all low voltage wiring so nothing will shock you) -
6
Reassemble the arcade
Put everything back in reverse order. Remember the bottom panel connectors are reversed so turn left to tighten and only turn about a quarter turn to lock them in place
Troubleshooting Tips:- Double-check that the SD card is fully seated
- Try a different USB port or card reader if flashing fails
- Ensure your PC recognizes the full size of the SD card
- If issues persist after reflashing, the computer board itself may need service
